Wheel profile detector (WPD)
What it is →
Laser wheel profile detector (WPD).
What it measures/detects →
Ten standard wheel profile parameters (flange height and thickness, rim thickness, tread hollow, back-to-back, flange slope, wheel chamfer, flange and tread rollover, and wheel diameter), with equivalent conicity available as an option.
Operational benefit →
Catches wear trends before they become a safety issue, and removes easily for track maintenance.
